The Truth and Accountable Governance, TAG has called for the dismissal of the National Security Minister, Albert Kan Dapaah.

According to them, the hooliganism, attacks and lawlessness happening in the country recently is a sign of incompetence by minister and [ads1]vindication of their rejection of the minister when he was appointed.

TAG in a press release signed by its executives said the group rejected the appointment of the minister and called on the president to revoke his appointment but nothing was one about it.  The group noted that under the watch of the Minister, there have been countless incidences which are very security threatening.

It said the rate at which security personnel are being attacked is very alarming and ought to be condemned, stopped early enough before the menace escalates into something else. Citing the recent example of the attack at the Kwabenya Police Station, where unknown men attacked a police officer on duty and freed some inmates at the station, TAG said the incidence was motivated by the fact that similar incidences at the Flagstaff House, Ashanti Region, Somanya, Northern Region among others, perpetrators went unpunished.

“The president must as a matter of urgency fire Albert Kan Dapaah before any terrorist group emerges to distract the peace and harmony in the country” It concluded.
