Ricketts Hagan leads New GRA Board to strengthen tax integrity and boost revenue

The Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has officially inaugurated a newly constituted nine-member board for the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), appointing Hon. George Ricketts Hagan as Chairperson.

Ricketts Hagan, a former Deputy Finance Minister and current Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South, takes on the role with a clear mandate to enhance revenue generation and promote transparency in tax administration.

The board includes high-level professionals and public figures tasked with addressing key challenges such as smuggling and revenue leakages. Dr. Forson emphasized that the effectiveness of government policies relies heavily on the revenue mobilized by the GRA. He urged the board to uphold integrity and act decisively in fulfilling their oversight responsibilities.
