Ghanaian entrepreneur and philanthropist Richard Nii Armah Quaye has unveiled plans to launch food banks across the country to combat hunger and food insecurity.
The initiative, led by the RNAQ Foundation, aims to provide one free hot meal a day to anyone who needs it, completely free and accessible.
Quaye, sharing the news on Facebook, emphasized his lifelong belief that no one should go hungry.
“Growing up, I believed one thing deeply: no one should ever go hungry. Now that I’m in a position to help, I’ve made it my mission to give every Ghanaian access to food, one community at a time.”
The food banks will serve as safe spaces where anyone can walk in and eat without discrimination. The first locations are expected to open soon, with expansion plans underway.
Quaye concluded by expressing his commitment to the initiative:
“As long as God gives me strength, we’ll keep expanding.”
The project is being hailed as a practical and compassionate response to the growing challenge of hunger in many communities across Ghana.
