Pro. Ransford Gyampo
Professor Ransford Gyampo has responded to the “sex for grades” allegations made against him, calling them a deliberate effort to destroy his reputation and halt his political aspirations.
In an interview with 3FM, the political scientist vehemently denied the accusations, arguing that there was no proof to back the claims, particularly because no sexual activity or involvement with students occurred.
He further suggested that the allegations were part of a scheme orchestrated by political opponents to prevent his nomination as a running mate.
According to Gyampo, after undergoing a fair process, he was reinstated and even promoted at the university. He claims his supporters rallied behind him, reaffirming their trust by voting for him in subsequent elections.
Despite the controversy, Prof Gyampo emphasized that he has moved on from the issue and focused on the positive lessons it offered.
