Speaking after signing the bill, President Mahama urged the authorities to be clear in communicating the policies and incentives for the business community and increased productivity and employment.
“This is the bill Ghanaians have been waiting for. It was one of our flagship strategies for economic transformation, which. We needed to go patiently to give legal effect to it. And so from now on, we must move from strategies to implementation. The business sector is waiting; Ghanaian investors and foreign investors are all waiting to see the package of incentives that we afford them so that they can invest more and expand productivity and also create more employment for our young people. And so it is my pleasure to assent to this bill today,” President Mahama stated.
He lauded the efforts of the team who worked on the policy.
“Let me congratulate the team that has been working on it, our comrade Goose Tandoh and his team; we are very grateful,” the President concluded.
