President John Mahama has announced his cabinet lineup, comprising 19 ministers, including two female ministers.

The cabinet members were sworn in recently, marking the beginning of a new era in governance.

The cabinet includes a mix of experienced politicians and new faces.

In a bid to promote gender equality, President Mahama appointed two female ministers to his cabinet. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, MP, takes charge as Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, while Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, MP, becomes the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection.

Other notable members of the cabinet include Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, MP, as Minister for Health, and John Abdulai Jinapor, MP, as Minister for Energy and Green Transition.

Haruna Iddrisu, MP, takes over as Minister for Education, while Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP, becomes the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

The cabinet also includes ministers for key sectors such as defense, lands and natural resources, and communication, digital technology, and innovations.
