Prepare for all of us if Ntim Fordjour is arrested – NPP’s Salam Mustapha

Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has taken aim at the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, accusing it of targeting Rev. Ntim Fordjour for raising “critical issues”.

Mustapha’s remarks came in response to a statement allegedly made by Felix Ofosu Kwakye, the ruling Government’s spokesperson, that Rev. Fordjour could face arrest for peddling falsehood and his unwillingness to cooperate with state security agencies to investigate the claims he made days ago about suspicious flights at Kotoka International Airport.

But for Mustapha, arresting the Assin South lawmaker would mean that the state would have to arrest the entire leadership, the minority MPs and youths of the party.

“Felix Ofosu Kwakye says that this government will arrest Rev. Ntim Fordjour and his crime is that, he’s raised curtains on dark issues. We have a message for you, please add more cells as it’s not only Rev. Ntim Fordjour that you will host but all of us. You will host the entire leadership of the NPP, the 88 Mighty Minority and ever-loyal youth of the party,” Mustapha wrote in a post on social media.

He sarcastically expressed gratitude to the government for inadvertently energizing the opposition to regroup and intensify their efforts.

The youth organizer further criticize the media, saying: “The media who used to say that the Akufo-Addo government was intolerant, ‘abi now you collect your eye.'”
