Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded Ghana’s strong democratic foundations and inclusive growth, describing the country as “a beacon of inspiration for the entire African continent.”
Addressing Ghana’s Parliament during his official visit, PM Modi commended the nation for its resilience, leadership, and commitment to democratic ideals.
“When we look at Ghana, we see a nation that shines with courage, rises above history, and turns every challenge into creativity and grace,” he said. “Your commitment to democratic ideals and inclusive progress truly makes Ghana a beacon of inspiration for the entire African continent.”
His remarks received applause from Members of Parliament and other dignitaries in attendance.
Modi’s visit is aimed at strengthening Ghana-India relations, particularly in areas such as trade, technology, education, and cultural exchange.
Earlier in the day, he visited the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, where he laid a wreath in honor of Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and his wife, Fathia Nkrumah.
