The Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya East, Hon. Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunor, presented tools and items to apprentices and master craftspeople within the constituency.
The gesture was a short ceremony held in Kasoa on Friday to equip these persons with technical, vocational, and entrepreneurial skills.
The lawmaker was in the company of her team, party executives, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), the National Youth Authority, and the N.A.P. Regional Coordinator.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Naa Koryoo said, “This initiative forms part of our commitment to empowering the youth and reducing unemployment across the constituency by providing practical skills and resources that enable individuals to engage in meaningful, hands-on work,” she stated.
She stressed that “Through this support, we aim to promote self-reliance, productivity, and sustainable livelihoods, in alignment with the vision of the 24-hour economy agenda”.
She extended her appreciation to everyone for the immense support and commitment, adding that she will continue to work towards creating opportunities that drive development.
