OSP picks up 3 SML directors in anti-corruption raid

There was panic and confusion on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, as three Strategic Mobilization Ghana Limited (SML) directors were picked up by operatives from the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

The arrests followed a targeted raid at SML’s offices in Osu and Tema, conducted under court orders. Officers from the National Security Secretariat supported the operation.

Sources reveal that the OSP is nearing the final stages of its probe into the controversial SML contract. Investigators are particularly interested in digital evidence stored on the company’s servers.

This development comes amid intensified efforts by the OSP to question former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta over several financial transactions, including the SML deal. The Special Prosecutor recently declared him a fugitive from justice, citing his refusal to cooperate.
