Ghanaian musician and entrepreneur Okyeame Kwame has hinted at an upcoming historic collaboration with the government, expected to be unveiled before the end of the current administration.

Speaking on PrimeTime with George Quaye on Joy Prime TV, the award-winning rapper revealed that academic work has delayed his engagements with government institutions.

“Because of school, I’ve been a little busy, research, literature review, so I haven’t had time to pay courtesy calls on the right institutions,” he said.

When asked about any political ties, Okyeame Kwame responded, “Me, you know I am ‘Made in Ghana.’”

He confirmed early talks with key figures, including KOD, and expressed optimism about the outcome.

“I’ve had conversations, and hopefully, I’ll water those conversations. I think something amazing will come out. Before the end of this four years, I will do something with government, and it will be historic,” he noted.

Though details remain under wraps, his statement has sparked curiosity across the creative industry and public.

Okyeame Kwame, often called the “Rap Dacta,” has a longstanding record of using music and influence to promote national identity, culture, and social causes.

He has led campaigns on hepatitis B awareness, environmental sustainability, and local entrepreneurship.

He also served as the face of the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s Made in Ghana initiative and has been deeply involved in arts education and creative policy advocacy.

If realized, this partnership could mark a new chapter in government engagement with Ghana’s creative sector, further solidifying Okyeame Kwame’s legacy as a socially driven cultural icon.
