Ofori-Attah was master of bible verses, corruption architect, criminalities executioner – Kotoko

Mr. Elikem Kotoko, the Deputy National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has recounted the moment former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Attah was in charge of managing the Ghanaian economy from 2017 until his exit in 2024.

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, on his Facebook page, labeled Ken Ofori-Attah as “master of Bible verses, an architect of corruption, an executioner of criminalities.”

According to Elikem, the owner of the Enterprise Group, was “one of the men who led the mighty fall, ….an advocate for white clothing, spokesperson for the calm.” but “now a fugitive on the run…”

Former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Attah

Ken Ofori-Attah, during President Akufo-Addo’s era, was said to be even more powerful than the President himself and hardly takes orders from him.

His mismanagement reached an epic level to the extent that some of his party MPs had to stage a protest for his removal, but the President could not sack him until he willingly exited a few months before the end of their term.

Ken Ofori-Attah declared wanted and a fugitive from Justice.

About three days before the handing over of power to the new NDC government, Ken Ofori-Atta fled the country.

In February 2025, the Office of the Special Prosecutor declared him wanted and a fugitive from justice due to his involvement in several corruption and corruption-related offenses, including five cases, such as the SML Scandal and the National Cathedral.
