Mr. Alexander Afenyo-Markin, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), says the party would reclaim the majority of parliamentary seats it lost if elections were conducted today.

According to him, there is “no way” the National Democratic Congress (NDC) could secure a majority under the current political climate.

Mr. Afenyo-Markin expressed confidence in the NPP’s growing support base, stating that recent political developments and public sentiment indicated a shift in favour of the party.

He maintained that the NPP remained strong and united, adding that the party was repositioning itself to regain lost grounds and strengthen its presence across the country.

The lawmaker noted that the political landscape remained dynamic, but emphasised that the NPP was optimistic about its prospects should Ghanaians return to the polls.

His comments come amid ongoing political discussions and debates over governance, economic management and party performance following the last general elections.
