The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) is set to introduce a digital fuel pricing application that will enable consumers to compare fuel prices in real time across various filling stations nationwide.
The app, when launched, will also feature a nearby station locator and navigation support, allowing users to easily find the most affordable fuel options within their vicinity.
The initiative forms part of efforts by the Authority to promote transparency and competition in Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector, while empowering consumers to make informed purchasing decisions.
Officials say the platform will provide up-to-date pricing data from licensed fuel stations, helping to eliminate information gaps and potential price disparities.
The introduction of the app is also expected to enhance regulatory oversight and encourage compliance among industry players.
The NPA reiterated its commitment to leveraging technology to improve service delivery and ensure fairness in the pricing of petroleum products across the country.
