Volta Regional Minister, North Tongu MP and DCE Cut Sod for 15 Education Infrastructure Projects in North Tongu
On Saturday, 31st January, 2026, the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, joined the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Hon. Victoria Amefadzie Yawa Doe, and other dignitaries at Mepe St. Kizito Senior High Technical School to cut the sod for the construction of 15 educational infrastructure projects across the North Tongu Constituency.
The projects are aimed at improving access to quality education, enhancing teaching and learning environments, and addressing critical infrastructure needs in basic and secondary schools within the constituency.
The projects include:
1. Dining Hall with Kitchen at Aveyime Senior High School
2. Two-storey Girls’ Dormitory Block at Aveyime Senior High School
3. Two-storey Girls’ Dormitory Block at Battor Senior High School
4. Dining Hall with Kitchen at Battor Senior High School
5. Dining Hall with Kitchen at Volo E-Block
6. Two-storey Dormitory Blocks (Boys and Girls) at Volo E-Block
7. Two-storey Boys’ Dormitory Block with Courtyard at Dorfor Senior High School
8. Dining Hall with Kitchen (2,500 capacity) at Dorfor Senior High School
9. Dining Hall with Kitchen (2,500 capacity) at St. Kizito Senior High School, Mepe
10. Two-storey Boys’ Dormitory Block at St. Kizito Senior High School, Mepe
11. Six-unit Classroom Block at Mepe RC Primary A
12. Six-unit Classroom Block at Mepe Holy Christ Primary A
13. Six-unit Classroom Block at Juapong JTL Basic School
14. Six-unit Classroom Block at Battor Avilordzogbe DA Primary
15. Three-unit L-shaped Classroom Block at Aveyime Girls Model School
