The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Eric Adjei, has disclosed that the NEIP management team has engaged the Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF) to deepen strategic collaboration in support of the Adwumawura Programme.
According to a Facebook post by Mr. Adjei, he, together with his deputy and the NEIP management team, held discussions with officials of VCTF aimed at establishing robust financing pathways to enhance the long-term sustainability, scalability, and economic impact of enterprises supported under the programme.
He indicated that both institutions jointly affirmed the importance of fostering sustainable, job-creating businesses as a key driver of Ghana’s economic transformation.
Mr. Adjei further revealed that the VCTF reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Grant Management Committee and announced the establishment of a dedicated Adwumawura Fund. The proposed fund is expected to target high-impact businesses emerging from the programme and provide structured financial support beyond the initial grant phase.
He noted that the strengthened partnership aligns with the RESET Agenda of the government led by John Dramani Mahama, which prioritises sustainable job creation and economic empowerment, particularly for the youth.
The Adwumawura Programme is designed to nurture entrepreneurship among young people through training, mentorship, and financial assistance, with the aim of building competitive and sustainable businesses across Ghana.
