NDC Will Match The NPP ‘Boot for Boot’ – Opare Addo

George Opare Addo, the National Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), also known as Pablo, has stated that the party will no longer be passive in the face of violence, a comment suggesting that it may resort to countering violence with violence before, during, and after the December 7 general elections.

He emphasized that while the NDC will adhere to the laws of the land, it will not remain idle if members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) or others attempt to disrupt the electoral process.

Speaking at the NDC Youth Manifesto launch in Accra, on Monday, August 12, Pablo said, the NDC “will be law-abiding and We shall not foment trouble anywhere but the NDC will never again be victims of Peace, If you draw your dagger against us, we will draw our dagger against You”

Recent comments by some leading members of the ruling party have sparked public uproar.

On Sunday, August 11, Bryan Acheampong, Member of Parliament (MP) for Abetifi and Minister for Food and Agriculture, reiterated that the NPP will not hand over power and that the party is prepared to do whatever it takes to win the December 7 presidential election.

His comment, however, was met with widespread disapproval from Ghanaians, with some even threatening to target the MP’s business interests if he or others attempt to incite trouble during the election.”

This version corrects the grammar and clarifies the sequence of events.
