NDC office shooting: Police on manhunt for 12 suspects

Police in Ashanti Region are on manhunt for 12 suspects in connection with the shooting incident that took place at the office of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)  in Kumasi Monday.

The Ashanti Regional Police Command following the incident earlier, named four men who they say are members of a pro-NDC vigilante group, The Hawks.

Hussein Bari alias Warrior, Midjima, Damos and Abu Taliban were declared wanted by the police on Monday for committing the crime that led to the death of one person, Wasiu Iddrisu and the injury of another identified as Abdul Rahman.

But a statement from the Police Command Wednesday announces the search for eight more suspects, Sanni Mohamed alias Commando, Wayo, Element, Jah Rule aka Petit, Akon, Fayiz, Mallam and Rock.

“The general public is once again urged to assist the Police by volunteering information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators for swift investigation and prosecution,” a statement signed by Public Affairs Officer of the Ashanti Regional Police Command, ASP Godwin Ahianyo appealed.
