The Bono Regional Youth organizer, Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo of the National Democratic Congress NDC, has sent a strong warning to members of the NDC who wish to contest the flagbearership of 20204.
Speaking at the Tertiary Education Institution Network (TEIN) program, the maverick politician said “anyone who makes a mistake to contest John Dramani Mahama will be crushed”.
According to Mr. Tsekpo in a viral video, former President Mahama’s performance in the 2020 election alone is enough to tell anyone who thinks of contesting him will be crashed.
The program was to welcome freshers in the Sunyani University of Energy and Natural Resources to the NDC Youths wing.
Mr. John Mahama contested the 2020 general elections as flagbearer of the NDC but lost to President Nana Akuffo Addo as declared by the Supreme court of Ghana. However as some political scientists and the Economic Intelligence Unit’ (EIU) are of the opinion that the NDC needs a new face to lead them into victory come 2024, the majority of their supporters and MPs are against it.
It is in the spirit of the above stance that the Youths organizer tool and even adding that, anyone with the dreams of the contest the flagbearership race with Mahama will be crushed.
