The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu cut his birthday cake with dignitaries as he celebrates his 100 years on earth today, 23rd April 23, 2019.
Photos of him cutting his Birthday cake with Mohamed Ibn Chambs at first right, former President John Dramani Mahama, vice president of the Republic, Dr Mahamud Bawumia and Archbishop Charles Palmer-Buckle, went viral on social media.

Dr Sharubutu, who is a member of the National Peace Council, was born in Old Fadama in Accra on April 23, 1923.
He as part of series of event marking his centenary paid a historic visit to the Christ yhe King Catholic Church last Sunday where he said it was a gesture to further strengthen the peace, harmony and co-existance which has existed between Muslims and Christens over the year.
His action was lauded by many Ghanaians as iconic of a great gift to the state.
