Dancehall star Shatta Wale has strongly denied claims linking him to fraudulent activities, asserting that his success is solely from his music career.

This comes after U.S. authorities arrested several Ghanaian nationals, including Isaac Kofi Oduro Boateng, also known as Kofi Boat, a man identified as a business associate of Shatta Wale. The arrests, related to romance and inheritance scams, sparked widespread speculation online.

In a video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), Shatta Wale addressed the rumors head-on. “You people are watching my life, and anytime there is an issue in Ghana, you drag me into it,” he said. “You guys are making a mistake with my name. I am a very clean boy.”

Shatta Wale emphasized that his lifestyle is funded by music, not fraud. He accused critics of jealousy, claiming they can’t accept his success because their favorite artistes haven’t matched his achievements.

“Just because your industry favorite can’t do what I can, you assume I’m into fraud,” he stated. “You’re free to tell people that. But the white people coming here are not stupid, they research. They saw my Rolls-Royce and how I paid for it. That’s music money, not fraud.”

Shatta Wale concluded his statement with a warning: “Don’t make a mistake. It’s hard work and dedication.”
