“My Duty Is to Lobby and Monitor Projects for Ashaiman” – MP Ernest Norgbey

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ashaiman Constituency, Ernest Henry Norgbey, says his primary duty is to lobby for projects to be brought to his constituency.

The reserved Parliamentarian made these remarks during the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a 3-story maternity block at the Community 22 Polyclinic on Monday.

According to Hon. Norgbey, in addition to pushing for developmental projects, he also ensures effective monitoring to keep sight of the progress of these initiatives.

“My duty is to make sure I lobby for projects to be brought to the good people of Ashaiman and also monitor the headway of all projects before, during, and after completion, while funding, execution, and maintenance are supervised by the Municipal Chief Executive and the assembly,” he stated.

He added that the project will improve maternal and infant health care by providing a safe, accessible, and dedicated space for pregnancy-related services.

Hon. Norgbey serves as a member of the Defense and Interior Committee and also doubles as the chairperson of the Youth and Sports Committee.He is also a member of the Security and Intelligence and Finance Committees, respectively.

He concluded that the project will be done in three phases and it will be completed in 12 months, while pledging more development initiatives in Ashaiman by the end of 2028.
