Boxing matchmaker Mubarak Yusif, together with Legacy Rise Sports, will organize a football match as part of his preparations towards the educational sponsorship for young boxers.
The one-day event, which is scheduled for Thursday, February 19, at the University of Ghana Stadium, will be played between a selected side from Mubarak Yusif and Legacy Rise Sports.
The Unity game forms part of Yusif’s birthday slated for February 22, where he has pledged to select and support ten (10) promising boxers who find it difficult to access formal education.
The game also seeks to promote unity and development in the boxing industry while promoting physical fitness.
The event will be graced by top boxing officials, including promoters, matchmakers, and coaches, as well as retired and active boxers.
According to Yusif, the team has begun a tour of boxing gyms in Accra, where the selection process has commenced.
With his pledge to support the ten (10) promising boxers, Yusif says these young fighters will receive educational scholarships, which include uniforms, their school fees, feeding, stationery, and more.
Yusif says the act of giving back to society has been his biggest priority, as he believes every young boxer should acquire the fundamentals of education.
