The Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, has donated medical items to the Volta Regional Hospital in Hohoe to support persons with disabilities and improve patient care.
The items donated include “18 canes, two wheelchairs, and multiple boxes of essential mobility and medical supplies”.
The Minister, who was accompanied by Togbe Afede XIV, the Municipal Chief Executive of Hohoe, Hon. Prosper Kumi, some visiting Italian investors, and officials from the International Disability and Empowerment Foundation (IDEF), said the items were received by Mr. Charles Azagba, the Municipal Health Director, on behalf of the hospital.
The Agbogbomefia, Togbe Afede XIV, expressed his appreciation and encouraged the hospital to put the items to good use for the benefit of the people they serve.

Yesterday, I made a donation to the Regional Hospital – Hohoe, accompanied by Togbe Afede XIV, the Municipal Chief Executive of Hohoe, Hon. Prosper Kumi, our visiting Italian investors, and officials from the International Disability and Empowerment Foundation (IDEF).

We were joined by the Vice President of IDEF, Mr. Harrison Tawiah Nfodjo, who reiterated the organisation’s commitment to empowering persons with disabilities and promoting inclusive development.
The items were received on behalf of the hospital by Mr. Charles Azagba, the Municipal Health Director.
Togbe Afede XIV expressed his appreciation and encouraged the hospital to put the items to good use for the benefit of the people they serve.
