Information reaching Awake News indicates there there is demonstration ongoing the rulling NPP headquarters at Asylum Down in Accra.

The demonstrators are polling station executives of Ellembelle constituency in the Western Region.
They are demonstrating to leadership upon an attempt to get their polling station registers to update the members but the Constituency Chairman, Mr Kainyah has refused to distribute the registers.
Upon further interrogation, Mr Samuel Kainyah alias Atito said, he has been instructed by Acting National Chairman of NPP Mr Freddie Blay not to give the registers out.
According to a leading member of the demonstrators, Mr. Peter Achar who is at the scene and spoke to Awake News, the polling station executives have made several attempts to get the registers but the constituency chairman refused. According to him, it became a hectic struggle which compelled the District Police Commander to intervened but the chairman refused.
Mr. Ackah said the party’s national leadership have not come out of the office to attend to them rather the harassment from the party’s security and assault on GhanaWeb Camera man.
According to him they only had an information that their Constituency chairman has been invited to Accra.
“We are going to sleeo over in Accra until this issues is resolved because the deadline for the update of the voter register is December 24” – said
