Manasseh Awuni Questions President Mahama’s Resetting Agenda

A social media post by Mr Manasseh Azure Awuni, a journalist and social commentator, has sparked public discussion over the implementation of President John Dramani Mahama’s “resetting agenda.”

In a Facebook post on Monday, Mr Awuni wrote: “We see the few appointees helping President Mahama’s resetting agenda, and we see the many who are only busy doing ‘settings’.”

The comment appeared to contrast what he described as genuine efforts by some government appointees to advance the President’s policy direction with alleged self-serving conduct by others.

The post generated significant engagement online, attracting reactions, comments and shares from users who weighed in on the performance of public officials.

One commenter, Mr Seyram Francis, called for greater accountability, writing: “Please expose those doing the ‘settings’ wai.”

The “resetting agenda” is a term used to describe policy measures and governance reforms aimed at repositioning the country’s economy and strengthening public institutions.

As of the time of filing this report, no specific individuals had been named in connection with the concerns raised in the post.

The development adds to ongoing public discourse on governance standards, transparency and the performance of political appointees.
