Tragedy has struck after Benjamine Offei, a Ghanaian resident in Denmark, was found dead at his residence in Copenhagen, following distressing revelations from a DNA test that reportedly showed that the four children he had raised over a 19-year relationship were not biologically his.

Family sources and close friends say the shocking discovery deeply affected Mr. Offei, who had been married to his Ghanaian wife for nearly two decades and was widely known among friends as a devoted husband and father.

Details surrounding his death remain limited. Danish authorities have since launched investigations to establish the circumstances, while family members have been notified. But the deceased was alleged to have committed suicide.

The news has sent shockwaves through Ghanaian communities both at home and abroad, with many expressing disbelief and sorrow over the incident. Friends describe Mr. Offei as hardworking and family-oriented, making the incident particularly heartbreaking.

Social media has since been flooded with messages of condolence, with many calling for greater attention to mental health support, especially for men dealing with emotional trauma, marital crises, and paternity disputes.

Community leaders and advocates have urged the public to approach the matter with sensitivity, respect the privacy of the bereaved family, and refrain from speculation as investigations continue.

If you or someone you know is struggling with emotional distress or suicidal thoughts, help is available. In Ghana, individuals are encouraged to seek support from trusted family members, religious leaders, or mental health professionals. Internationally, crisis support lines and emergency services are available to provide immediate assistance.

Awake News extends its condolences to the family and loved ones of Benjamine Offei during this difficult time.
