Majority caucus denies removing A Plus from whatsApp group

The Majority caucus in Parliament has firmly denied claims that Gomoa Central MP, Kwame Asare Obeng, widely known as A Plus, was removed from the caucus’ WhatsApp group.

In a statement signed by Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga, the caucus described the reports as false, misleading, and an attempt to sow division. “Kwame Asare Obeng remains a member of the caucus and continues to participate in all official communications,” the statement clarified.

The response follows widespread social media speculation that A Plus was allegedly ejected from the group due to his outspoken views and recent criticisms of government officials.

The Majority leadership stressed that the caucus remains united and focused on its legislative agenda, urging the public to disregard rumors designed to spark controversy.

In a related development, A Plus has publicly apologized to Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine after making disparaging comments about him online. While issuing the apology, A Plus also maintained his call for transparency and accountability, indicating that his criticism was driven by a desire for good governance.

The Majority’s statement appears to be an effort to contain the narrative and avoid internal friction ahead of critical national engagements.
