Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will announce his Running Mate this month.
According to the Vice Chairman of Dr Bawumia’s Campaign Team, Nana Akomea, there was no pressure to announce a running mate though the Presidential Candidate was elected six (6) months ago.
“We told him to take all the time he needed to make all the consultations that he felt he had to do. So, Bawumia has been elected just about six months ago, so it is not that late.”
Nana Akomea said Dr Mahamudu Bawumia would present a name to the National Council of the party before subsequently announcing the same to the public. He said he has no idea who the NPP candidate has selected as the Vice Presidential Candidate but assured that the name will be unveiled before the end of June.
“But I can assure you that in this month of June, he will announce his running mate. He will bring a name to the National Council”.
“Before this month ends, you should have an announcement, but as to who will be announced, we don’t know,” Nana Akomea said.
