President John Dramani Mahama is set to swear in seven newly confirmed Supreme Court Justices today, July 3, at the Jubilee House. This marks a major step in boosting the judiciary’s capacity to handle complex legal matters.
The swearing-in follows their successful vetting and parliamentary approval in line with Article 144 of the 1992 Constitution.
The appointees, drawn from the Court of Appeal and known for their legal expertise, are expected to reinforce the Supreme Court’s ability to manage an increasing number of constitutional, electoral, civil, and criminal cases.
The new Justices are:

- Justice Gbiel Simon Suurbaareh
- Justice Senyo Dzamefe
- Justice Kweku Tawiah Ackaah-Boafo
- Justice Philip Bright Mensah
- Justice Janapare Bartels-Kodwo
- Justice Hafisata Amaleboba
