President John Mahama

The newly sworn-in President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has on today, 8th January 2025 revoked the appointments of all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives with immediate effect.

In a letter signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Calistus Mahama, all Assembly Members appointed by the previous Akufo-Addo led NPP Government.

Former President Mahama becomes the 6th President of the 4th Republic affer winning the December 7, 2024 elections with 57.63%, defeating his close contender, the then Incumbent Vice President Dr. Bawumia who pulled little over 38% of the total votes.
