Investigative journalist Korsi Senyo has blasted President Nana Akuffo-Addo for seeking petty and cheap political points with the Free SHS policy.
The maverick and fearless investigative journalist has taken President Nana Addo to cleaners for peddling what according to him is an outright lie and deceit in relation to who implemented the Progressively Free S.H.S as enshrined in our constitution.
Two days ago President Nana Akuffo-Addo in commissioning phase one of the Obatsebi Lamtey interchange took swipe at the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama. He labeled him (Mahama) as a liar who is seeking political power with propaganda. President Akuffo-Addo said he was shocked to hear President John Mahama in the Upper East Region mentioned that he started the Progressively Free S.H.S in 2015/16 academic year.
It is against this background that Mr. Senyo took to social and expressed his utter disgust at the President for telling lies to the citizenry at his age and also as a president. He said it is clear that President Akuffo Addo is dishonest and has no iota of morals left in him as he is aware of how the Progressively Free S.H.S came into existence. He again said unlike a president Mahama who is has a lot of things to talk about in his name as a former president, His Excellency Nana Addo has no vision for Ghana hence his petty utterances.
The young entrepreneur also did not prescribe to the action of Citi FM’s reaction to what the president said, as they pulled down a story in which presidential candidate Akuffo Addo himself in an interview with Citi FM in his house congratulated former president John Mahama for implementing the policy.
Senyo while attaching a link from awakenewsroom.com wrote “Citi FM pulled their story down because it is now clear that President Akufo-Addo is being dishonest when he said I am shocked for former President Mahama to say that he [Mahama] started free S.H.S progressively.”
He noted further with facts that Mahama started Free S.H.S, he said “Mahama started free S.H.S and over 320,000 days students were enrolled on the programme. Alongside he was building brand new E-Block schools across the country to help accommodate more free S.H.S students.
Mahama is a visionary leader and not a petty and cheap political points seeker”.
However, for the past two days, Ghanaians have been up in arms with the president for making such assertions when the facts are clear to everyone that Mahama started Free S.H.S progressively.
