The Madina Constituency Zongo Caucus of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has joined former President John Mahama to embark on communal labour by clearing filth and weeds along the Madina Zongo Junction-Atomic Junction road in Accra.

Speaking to Awake News, the Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Alhaji Yakubu Taalie aka Chairman Capiro said the initiative is in support of efforts to weed around the street at the Military Cemetary.

According to him, the event is scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2019 adding that the entire membership of the Zongo Community in Madina will converge at the Zongo Junction, Masalachi where they will embark on the clean-up exercise to the Atomic Junction.

This comes to fore the second of such initiatives since former President Mahama was seen in a viral weeding around the Military Centary road in Accra with mowing machine.

The Bono Regional Youth Wings of the NDC was first to announce this JM Challenge. In a statement, Efo Worlnayo Tsekpo said leadership by example hence their decision to replicate the actions of the former President in their region by starting the weeding from Jaman South on Friday, November 15, 2019.
