Highlife musician and the bankroller of LM Soccer Academy, Lucky Mensah, says his doors are always open for potential partners who are ready to invest in the football club.
According to Lucky Mensah, he was driven by the passion to groom and nurture young talents because he always chose football first over music, adding that he loved the discipline he once played.
“I run the football club on my own. Because I love football and once played. Apart from music, where everyone knows Lucky Mensah, I can see I always choose football first over the music that I do. By the Grace of God, music exposed me, and people got to know me,” he said.
The ‘Come Back To Me’ hitmaker said he was always in the limelight because of his music and wants to achieve the same through football.
“But no one knows me in football, and that is why I’ve ventured into the sport. I accommodate about 100 of these footballers. I have a passion for it, and that is what motivates me. I’m very open to partnering with corporate bodies,” he added.
Born Alex Lucky Mensah, the highlife artiste Lucky Mensah groomed his talent when he started singing in the Kristo Asafo church in Gomoa, Central Region, at the age of 11.
He continued singing in the Accra New Town branch of Kristo Asafo when he relocated to Accra.
He later joined the Figo band but left the band and worked as a solo artist and released his debut album in 1993.
Since then, Lucky Mensah has worked hard to earn acknowledgments for his works with 11 albums and hits such as ‘Aduu Sumo Akwadu,’ ‘Come Back To Me,’ and ‘Nkratuo,’ among others.
