Linda Ocloo confirms halfway progress on street lighting initiative

Greater Accra Regional Minister Linda Ocloo has shared that 50% of her ambitious street lighting improvement project has been completed within the first 50 days of her tenure.

In an interview on Eyewitness News on March 12, 2025, she expressed satisfaction with the progress, highlighting that her team had been working on various streets across the capital, including areas around the Jubilee House.

Despite some challenges, such as faulty streetlights, she remained optimistic that the remaining 50% of the work would be completed by the end of the 50-day period.

Ocloo also raised concerns about vandalism, noting that some streetlights in the Okponglo area had been tampered with, with thieves reportedly targeting copper from the poles.
