The Adenta High Court in Accra has today dismissed an injunction application filed by Nana Awuku Bram in a land dispute between him and Mrs. Elsie Appau-Klu.
The court presided over by Her Ladyship Justice Mariama Sammo (Ms), upon hearing and reading the processes filed by the parties, refused to grant the Application by the Plaintiff, Nana Awuku Bram, seeking an Order of Interlocutory Injunction against the Defendant, Elsie Appau-Klu.
The court is of the view that the Defendant, Elsie Appau-Klu, who is already on the land and has possession, would suffer hardship should she be restrained on the land and in occupation.
The court thus awarded a cost of GHc3,000 against the Plaintiff, Nana Awuku Bram, in favour of the Defendant for bringing a frivolous application
Background:
Nana Awuku Bram in May 2025 went to court claiming ownership of a parcel of land at Oyarifa in Accra which Mrs. Appau-Klu also claims to have leased in 2006.
While the case was still pending in court, Nana Bram was reported in July 2025 to have filed petitions at EOCO, CHRAJ, NDC, and the Office of the Chief of Staff, accusing Mrs. Appau-Klu of abuse on office, an allegation she has since denied.
Mrs. Appau-Klu’s lawyers took on GhanaWeb over the said publication, describing it as defamatory, malicious, and false publication for which the online media giant has since apologized.
A similar publication was done by Ebenezer Denzel Amannor of ManagingGhana and Surveillance Ghana for which a businesswoman sued the online portals and their publisher for defamation.
