Kurt Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association, says Ghanaians should show respect and dignity to Otto Addo for leading the national team to two successive World Cup qualifications, describing the achievement as a significant milestone that merits recognition and appreciation.
Otto Addo first achieved this feat when he first qualified Ghana to its fourth World Cup appearance in 2022, the former Ghanaian international replicated the same feat in October 2025 to book Ghana’s spot for the 2026 World Cup.
With these results, it appears some Ghanaians still do not have faith in him ahead of the Mundia and have continuously called for his dismissal.
According to Kurt Okraku, he reiterated that Otto Addo needs the support of Ghanaians and appreciate his prowess instead of calling him names and undermining his potentials.
“Otto Addo is the only Ghanaian to have qualified the Black Stars to two World Cups. Let’s respect and support him for that. He’s done well”, he told Asaase Radio in an interview.
However, Kurt has stated that the FA will continue to rally support for Thomas Partey during his challenging moments.
