Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has voiced disappointment over being sidelined by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), despite his pivotal role in the party’s history.
Speaking during a visit from presidential hopeful Bryan Acheampong, Kufuor lamented that he is no longer included in crucial party decisions or National Council meetings. He described the move as disrespectful to the party’s founding figures and harmful to unity.
“I became president for two terms, but the system now thinks it’s wise to ignore and sideline me,” he said.
His comments come as internal tensions rise within the NPP ahead of the 2028 elections, with growing concerns about factionalism and neglect of party elders
