The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, has inaugurated a new executive board of the Ghana Boxing Federation as part of efforts to reposition the sport for growth and integrity.

The ceremony, held in Accra, formally ushered in the new leadership tasked with steering amateur boxing onto a path of professionalism and transparency.

The board is headed by Dauda Fuseini, who pledged to work closely with the government and stakeholders to strengthen structures within the federation.

Addressing the gathering, the minister stressed the need for discipline, accountability, and ethical conduct in the administration of boxing. He cautioned against practices that undermine the credibility of the sport and urged the new executives to prioritize the welfare and development of athletes.

Mr. Fuseini, in his acceptance remarks, assured the Ministry of the board’s commitment to reforms aimed at attracting investment, improving technical standards, and rebuilding public confidence in Ghanaian boxing.

The inauguration signals renewed collaboration between the ministry and the federation as authorities seek to revitalize boxing and restore its competitive edge locally and internationally.
