Head coach of Bechem United, Kobina Amissah, has provided a fair assessment of his team’s defeat to Nations FC in the Ghana Premier League, admitting that the tactical strategy he deployed failed in the first half.
The Hunters traveled to Abrankese on Friday to honor their matchday 25 fixture against Nations FC at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
At the end of an exciting contest, goals from Emmanuel Annor, Brandon Antwi, and Richard Danso propelled Nations FC to a massive 3-0 victory, ensuring that they bagged all three points.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Kobina Amissah shared his disappointment with the result, acknowledging how his tactical approach to the first half cost Bechem United.
“In fact, the strategy we adopted in the first half really disappointed us. We intended to hold them in the first half, and then in the second half, we can open up. But unfortunately, we trailed 2-0 in the first half, which really dampened our spirit,” Kobina Amissah said.
Following the defeat to Nations FC, Bechem United sits 13th in the Ghana Premier League standings with 30 points, only three points above the relegation zone.
