Sod-cutting ceremonies have been held for the construction of a three-unit classroom block at Atiavi–Atime M/A Basic School and a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound at Seva, both in the Keta Constituency of the Volta Region.
The ceremonies were led by the Member of Parliament for Keta, Hon. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, marking a significant step towards improving access to quality basic education and primary healthcare delivery in the area.
Addressing community members and stakeholders at the events, Hon. Gakpey said the projects align with the Resetting Agenda of President John Dramani Mahama, which prioritises strengthening the education sector, expanding healthcare services, and accelerating inclusive development across the country.
According to the MP, the classroom block will help decongest existing school facilities and create a more conducive learning environment for pupils, while the CHPS Compound will bring essential healthcare services closer to residents of Seva and surrounding communities.
He expressed gratitude to the government and all stakeholders for their continued support in bringing development to the grassroots and reaffirmed his commitment to working collaboratively to improve the living standards of people in the Keta Constituency.
The completion of the two projects is expected to significantly enhance service delivery, reduce pressure on existing infrastructure, and improve overall social outcomes in Atiavi–Atime, Seva, and neighbouring communities.
