Kadjebi presents 1,171 candidates for 2025 WASSCE

Kadjebi (O/R), Aug 5, GNA- Kadjebi District in the Oti Region has presented 1,171 candidates for the 2025 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The candidates are 570 males and 601 females from three Senior High schools (SHSs) within the district.

Specifically, Kadjebi-Asato Senior High School (KASEC) has 901 candidates, consisting of 404 males and 497 females.

In contrast, Dodi-Papase Senior High Technical School (DOPASS) has 202 candidates, comprising 131 males and 71 females.

Ahamansu Islamic Senior High School (AHISEC) presented 68 candidates, with 35 males and 33 females.

Mr. Seth Seyram Deh, Kadjebi District Director of Education, expressed the district’s preparedness for the examination.

The examination commenced on Tuesday, August 5, with a range of creative subjects including Basketry, Ceramics, Graphic Designs, Jewellery, Leatherwork and Picture Making 3 (Project Works). It will end on September 19.

In 2024, the district presented 1,369 candidates involving 697 males and 672 females, out of which 1,363 candidates attended the examination while six students were absent.

Similarly, in 2023, the district presented 1,406 candidates, with 1,404 actually taking the exam, leaving two absent.
