John Boadu questions gov’t silence after A Plus called Attorney General a thief

Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party John Boadu has questioned the government’s silence over a serious accusation made by Kwame A Plus, who recently referred to the Attorney General as a “thief.”

According to Boadu, it is deeply concerning that such a claim, especially coming from a member of the majority caucus, has not received any official response or clarification.

Speaking in an interview, he expressed shock at the contrast in how the government handles public commentary.

He pointed out that a young man was reportedly arrested for simply writing “rest well” in reference to the Vice President on social media. Yet, no action has been taken in response to a direct accusation against one of the most powerful legal figures in the country.

He warned that the silence surrounding the issue could normalize such allegations, allowing anyone to wake up and publicly accuse high-profile officials without consequence.

“If A Plus can call the Attorney General a thief and nothing happens, then what stops others from doing same?” he asked.

The allegations stem from a recent outburst by the Gomoa Central MP, who called the Attorney General both a thief and a liar and threatened to expose him.

Though the exact details behind the accusations remain unclear, they have stirred significant public debate about transparency and accountability in government.

So far, the Attorney General’s office has remained silent on the matter, a stance that continues to attract scrutiny.
