Hon. Japhet Festus Gbede, Assemblymember for the Wuxor, Have and Sremanu Electoral Area, has announced significant development interventions within the communities, highlighting improvements in access to water and social protection services.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Hon. Gbede disclosed that a newly drilled borehole at Tsiadakorpe has been successfully completed through the timely and benevolent intervention of the non-governmental organisation, Hope for Ghana, led by Dr. Steve Green. According to him, the project is expected to significantly improve access to safe and potable drinking water, thereby enhancing sanitation and public health in the deprived community.
Hon. Gbede further revealed that another major milestone has been achieved following the approval of the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) status for the Wuxor, Have and Sremanu communities. He credited the achievement to the dedicated support and leadership of the Member of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Bernard Ahiafor, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Daniel Dagba.
He announced that approximately 130 new beneficiaries have been enrolled onto the LEAP programme with immediate effect. The intervention is expected to provide essential financial and social support to vulnerable households and improve livelihoods across the Electoral Area.
Hon. Gbede reaffirmed his commitment to championing development initiatives that directly impact the welfare and wellbeing of residents within the communities.
