The Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, has held a preparatory meeting with a delegation from the camp of Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy ahead of a scheduled youth programme on March 5 at the Ho Youth Resource Center in Ho.

According to the Minister in a social media post on Thursday, February 19, 2026, the engagement organised in collaboration with the Office of the Volta Regional Member of the Council of State focused on planning for a “successful and impactful event” targeted at young people in the region.

Hon. Gunu noted that discussions covered logistics and coordination to ensure the programme delivers meaningful opportunities for the youth, describing Stonebwoy as “not just a music icon but a great asset to the Volta Region.”

As part of preparations, he indicated that teams have been dispatched to clean and ready the venue, while streetlights from the Power House area to the Stadium are being repaired to improve safety and visibility. The Minister and the visiting delegation also inspected the Youth Resource Center to assess additional work required ahead of the event.

The upcoming programme is expected to bring together young people across the region for engagement and activities aimed at youth empowerment and community participation. Hon. Gunu expressed confidence in the region’s readiness, stating that Ho is set to host what he called a significant experience for the youth of Volta.
