The Paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area, Torgbui Adzonugaga Amenya Fiti V, has strongly descended on critics who have been questioning the source of funds of Torgbui Tenuvi II, describing such concerns as misplaced and unproductive.

Torgbui Fiti V made the remarks during the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a two-storey Health Directorate Office Complex at Tokor, where he used the platform to caution individuals he accused of engaging in unnecessary attacks against traditional authorities involved in development projects.

According to the Paramount Chief, there has been growing public commentary and speculation regarding the financial sources behind projects associated with Torgbui Tenuvi II. He, however, dismissed the criticisms and challenged the critics to reflect on their intentions.

“Is your money missing?” Torgbui Fiti V reportedly questioned, in a strongly worded response aimed at naysayers raising concerns over the funding of development initiatives linked to Torgbui Tenuvi II.

He stressed that development within traditional areas should be encouraged and supported rather than politicised or subjected to public ridicule. Torgbui Fiti V emphasized that projects being undertaken are geared towards improving living conditions and strengthening social infrastructure within the community.

The Paramount Chief further urged residents and stakeholders to focus on the benefits such projects bring to the people instead of dwelling on what he described as baseless allegations and distractions that could hinder progress.

The remarks were delivered on the sidelines of the sod-cutting ceremony for the two-storey Health Directorate Office Complex at Tokor, a project expected to enhance healthcare administration and improve service coordination within the area.

The development has since sparked discussions among residents and observers, with many calling for unity among traditional leaders and community members to accelerate development efforts and ensure sustainable growth within the Aflao Traditional Area.
