Iran launched missiles at a U.S. military base in Qatar on Monday in retaliation for American strikes on its nuclear facilities. Although Qatar condemned the attack, its air defenses reportedly intercepted the missiles.

Eyewitnesses in Doha, just 20 miles from the Al-Udeid Air Base, saw explosions in the sky. The base hosts around 10,000 U.S. troops and serves as the forward headquarters for U.S. Central Command.

According to U.S. defense officials, the strike involved short- and medium-range ballistic missiles. Fortunately, they confirmed that no American personnel were injured or killed.

President Donald Trump downplayed the incident. Posting on Truth Social, he described it as a “very weak response.” He added that Iran gave early warning, allowing U.S. forces to prepare and avoid casualties.

Meanwhile, international reactions remain mixed. French President Emmanuel Macron criticized the U.S. airstrikes on Iran. He stated there was “no legality to” the operation, despite France agreeing that Iran must not acquire nuclear weapons. He emphasized that diplomacy and technical negotiations are the only acceptable paths forward.

While France distanced itself from the U.S. operation, other allies have yet to issue strong statements. The situation remains tense, and global leaders continue to call for de-escalation.
