International Academy of Enthnomedicine to confer the ‘Distinguished Role Model and Excellence Merit Award’ on Dr. Nyarkotey Obu in Nigeria, Delta State

The International Academy of Ethnomedicine in collaboration with Gilead Health Care Services in Nigeria, Delta State will honor Dr. Raphael Nyarkotey Obu; a well-known Ghanaian Holistic Medicine practitioner and prostate cancer researcher with the highest award of the ‘Distinguished Role Model and Excellence Merit Award’ at the [ads1]forthcoming world Ethnomedicine day slated for 31st August to 1st September 2018.

The program, according to Mrs. Vivian Ajufo, the Director of Administrations would be held at the main Auditorium of Federal Government Girls College, Igbuzo, Delta State, Nigeria at 10 am Nigerian Time. The award according to the organizers is to honor Dr. Raphael Nyarkotey Obu for his distinguished personality and contributions to humanity. Dr. Nyarkotey would also deliver a lecture on ‘Evidence-based Ethnomedical Practice the Cardinal Tool in Achieving the Goals of Universal Health and Coverage for economic growth, Maximum Productivity and Sustainability’.

Recently, Dr. Nyarkotey was also shortlisted to pick the top Africa Health Care Award slated for 6th March in London Olympia conference center. Dr. Nyarkotey is the national President of the Alternative Medical Association of Ghana (AMAG) and a Research Professor of Prostate cancer and Holistic Medicine at Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine, Larnaca City, Cyprus.

He has conducted several kinds of research and published extensively on prostate cancer and alternative medicine and a columnist with the Chronicle newspaper where he writes a weekly column on prostate cancer and natural medicine. He established the first holistic medicine college in Ghana, located at Tema Community, 7. He has built public trust in the field of natural medicine.

Dr. Nyarkotey completed his postdoctoral program at Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine under Dr. George Georgiou of the Da Vinci Health Centre, Larnaca city, Cyprus. He is the Principal investigator at RNG Medicine Research Lab and a member of the Prostate Cancer Transatlantic Consortium (Captc), firm researching into prostate cancer in the black community.

About 10, 000 men have benefited from his free prostate screening and have pushed for several national policies on prostate cancer. One of his key policies was the call for father’s day as national prostate awareness day. His key research was the hibiscus sabdariifa plant as the best tea for men’s prostate health where he also employed scalar energy to bio-energized his formulation to make it highly concentrated, reduces microbial loads and increases the product shelf life.
