“I’m disappointed” — Mzbel cries over neglect by President Mahama

Ghanaian singer, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, has expressed her disappointment and hurt over being snubbed by President Mahama’s administration despite her tireless efforts campaigning for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In an emotional interview, Mzbel revealed that she feels undervalued and unappreciated by the party she has supported for years.

“I’m disappointed that some of my colleagues have been given appointments while I’ve not even been called,” Mzbel lamented.

“Considering the fact that I’ve really been bullied, insulted, and even threatened because of NDC, so it’s disappointing that with the party in power now, Mzbel has been forgotten, and no one has bothered to even get in touch with me”.

Mzbel’s disappointment stems from her active involvement in campaigning for the NDC, including leading a group called “Celebrities for Mahama” to canvass for votes.

Despite her efforts, she has been overlooked for appointments, leaving her feeling hurt and undervalued.

Interestingly, Mzbel revealed that she would likely decline any appointment offer from the President, citing her desire to maintain her peace of mind and protect her reputation from public scrutiny.

“The truth is that I will turn down an offer of appointment should the President even call because I want peace of mind,” she stated.

“I don’t want anyone to equate my success to politics because I work very hard”.
