IGP promotes 35 Police Officers for role in Adabraka gold robbery case

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has promoted thirty-five (35) police officers in recognition of their exceptional professionalism, bravery, and dedication to duty.

The promotions follow the officers’ pivotal roles in the successful investigation and resolution of the daring Adabraka daylight gold robbery case, which drew significant public attention due to its bold execution in a busy area of Accra.

According to police sources, the officers demonstrated outstanding commitment to justice, intelligence-led policing, and teamwork, which ultimately led to the arrest of suspects and the recovery of stolen items, restoring public confidence in the Ghana Police Service.

The IGP commended the officers for upholding the core values of the Service and emphasized that the promotions serve as motivation for all personnel to remain disciplined, professional, and resolute in the fight against crime.

He reaffirmed the Police Administration’s commitment to rewarding merit, hard work, and excellence as part of efforts to strengthen security and law enforcement across the country.
